Various Nude Beach 1-5

My husband and I are going to Cozumel july6th thru 13th and he really would like to go to a nude beach. I know in coz there isnt any to go to. But have heard to go to pla del carmen. Is this a place that we could get to from coz? How long would it take to get to? Do they have nude beaches, does it cost anything to get in to? Thanks for the help..

there is a clothing optional beach which is very secluded on the far north side of PDC. i would suggest taking a taxi from PDC to an area north of coco beach. then walk about 10 minutes further north. you know your there when you see the deserted palapas on stilts. you will have to walk back into town as there are no taxi's in the area to bring you back. it is a nice 50 min walk.

Never heard of a nude beach at Sandals. We're Couples people and went to Couples Negril last year. We're staying at (ta && ta.queueForLoad ? ta.queueForLoad : function(f, g)document.addEventListener('DOMContentLoaded', f);)(function()ta.trackEventOnPage('postLinkInline', 'impression', 'postLinks-7064548', '');, 'log_autolink_impression');Couples Sans Souci in Ocho Rios in June. It's not for everybody but we love it. Of course there's Coupls Ocho Rios with the nude Tower Island. We'll try that next year.

1. First off, leave truly valuable things like passports and currency etc in the safety deposit boxes in your hotel (or room safe). Bring just the necessary things for a day at the beach with you onto the sand.

2. The nude beach is a distance from parking (or the public bus). You remain clothed until you get to your spot in the sun and disrobe at your own discretion. There are no formal lockers or special "nude protocols." You can remain as covered or uncovered as you wish.

3. No one is going to swipe your towels nor play a prank and remove your clothes. While it is foolish to assume you might leave a wallet full of money ANYWHERE unattended, if you have a few things on the sand and you keep an eye on your stuff when you swim, it will all be there when you return. If you are bold enough to venture over to the (yes) nude volleyball area - bring your stuff along with you.

4. Honor System: If you decide to sit near other people, Miamians generally look out for one another. If you ask someone to keep an eye on your spot for a few minutes, they will. Regulars to the nude beach are friendly but will not bother you if you do not initiate a conversation.

It is legal for ladies to sunbathe anywhere on South Beach without a top. Many women do and the degree of gawking varies by area and should not be an issue. At the Haulover nude beach, the area where it is lawful to bare it all is clearly marked and while it is entirely out in the open (no coves, no caves, no cover) once you have been there a while you will feel totally natural.

The area to your most right is usually the most sparse with singles, couples and small groups that stay to themselves. The clothing optional beach ends by a small white picket fence that is easy to spot so no worries going too far.

I was there earlier this year for the first time and was also a little concerned about this. I think the bottom line is to use the same common sense you would use at any other busy beach. There really isn't much of value you will need while you are there -- cameras are a no-no, you won't need any jewelry to accessorize your outfit (since you won't be wearing one), and I know I didn't want to take any cell phone calls from my office while I was lying naked in the sand!

All that being said, you might want to bring a little bit of cash with you for concessions or for, say, renting beach chairs. Otherwise, just bring your towel, sunscreen and umbrella and enjoy the day.
